Summer solstice

I took this photo of my colleague Nina at about 10:15 pm on the summer solstice. It was't truly dark until about 11. She left me to house-sit while she took the train home to England for a visit - it's only 2 1/2 hours to London, going under the Channel. I was happy to do laundry and leave it to dry in the European fashion, on a rack out on the balcony.
